Holidays Kids Classes – July 2011

Elastic
Necklace & Bracelet, 1 hr - $8 |
|
Age appropriate = 4 & up Skills needed = Hand, eye co-ordination. Help
will be given with design layout and to tie off the elastic and ribbon (if
using). |

Description = Choose from coloured acrylic beads
to create a necklace and up to 2 bracelets on elastic. |

|
|
Beaded Critters,
1hr - $10 |
|
Age appropriate = 6 & up Skills needed = Hand, eye co-ordination,
counting & colour recognition with basic instruction (eg, add 3 red beads
then 2 blue beads to the wire). Help is available to twist wire together at
the end to finish off and add to chosen accessory. |

Description = Use your choice of coloured seed
beads to create 2-3 different beaded critters. Once complete, choose from
ribbon necklace, key ring, bag clip or book mark to add your critter to. |

Friendship bracelets, 1.5hrs $8 |
|
Age appropriate = 8 & up Skills needed = Hand, eye co-ordination. Help
will be given with colour and bead style selection, adding the charm,
plaiting and finishing off. |

Description = Choose from a selection of beads
and charms to create 2 friendship bracelets – one with beads and one with
charms. Bracelets are made to fit and finished with an easy to open bead
clasp. |

Bag Dangle
with wired-up heart, 1.5hrs - $10 |
|
Age appropriate = 10 & up Skills needed = Hand, eye co-ordination. Help
will be given to create the wired heart and with colour and bead selection.
Students will be shown how to use a pair of pliers to create loops to hang
the beads from the chain. |

Description = Start with a thick piece of wire
and create a heart shape then use thinner wire to weave on your choice of
coloured beads or charms. Once completed this will be added to some chain
along with other beads and charms to create a gorgeous accessory to add to
your bag or use as a key chain. |

Chain Dangle
Necklace, 1.5hrs - $12 |
|
Age appropriate = 12 & up Skills needed = Hand, eye co-ordination and
basic tool control. Help will be given with colour and bead style selection
and students will be shown how to use a pair of pliers to create loops to
hang the beads from the chain. Help will also be given with putting all the
pieces together and adding the leather or chain to complete the necklace. |

bead styles & colours as well as charms to create the necklace of your
choice – make it long or short to suit all your outfits! |

Fimo Jewellery
Set, 1.5hrs each
day over 2 days $25

Age appropriate = 8 & up Skills needed = Students will need to be able
to use play-doh or like. They need to be able to soften the clay by hand
warming it then divide and created into different shapes. Help will be given
with shaping and stringing the completed beads together. |

Description = Choose from different coloured
clay to create unique clay beads and pendants to string together with glass,
wooden or plastic beads. Students will need to attend a 1.5 hr session
on 2 days; Day 1 = make the
clay beads then the beads are baked overnight. Day 2 = use the
completed beads to create necklace, bracelet, earrings and ring. |

Rainbow Anklet $10, 1hr |
|
Age appropriate = 10 & up Skills needed = Hand, eye co-ordination and
basic tool control. Students will be shown how to use a pair of pliers to
create loops to hang the beads from the chain. Help will also be given with
putting all the pieces together and reducing the anklet to the correct size. |

Description = use acrylic beads and glass
pearls in rainbow colours to create a cute anklet suitable for any outfit! |

Cupcake Icing
Sculpting $18, 2hrs |
|
Age appropriate = 8 & up Skills needed = Students will need to be able
to use play-doh or like. They need to be able to soften the icing by hand warming
it then divide and create into different shapes. Help will be given with
shaping and completing the toppers. |

Description = Use ready to roll icing and
cutters to create beautiful cupcake toppers! Make a selection of designs including
flowers. hearts, dragonfly and ladybug. Learn how to use the icing to smoothly
top a cupcake ready to add 3-D decoration as well as indent shapes into the
icing for a smooth, patterned finish. Leave with 8 decorated cupcakes. Students will need
to bring 2 large lunch boxes or plastic containers to transport their cakes
home in. |
